The practical rules for using FundingLens.

Service Scope

FundingLens helps users create organisation profiles, monitor public funding sources, review opportunity fit, track deadlines, save opportunities and prepare source-cited readiness notes. The service is intended to support assessment workflows, not replace professional judgement.

No Funding Guarantee

FundingLens does not provide legal, financial, tax or grant-award advice. We do not promise that an opportunity is open, that an organisation is eligible, that an application will be accepted or that funding will be awarded.

User Responsibility

Users remain responsible for checking official funder pages, eligibility rules, deadlines, application documents, budgets, declarations and final submissions before applying.

• Check the official source page before acting on any FundingLens summary.
• Do not upload sensitive beneficiary data unless a specific secure workflow is provided.
• Keep organisation profile information accurate and up to date.
• Use draft notes as a working aid, not as final application copy.

Source Data

FundingLens stores source URLs, fetched timestamps, source fields, verified facts, caveats and review status where available. Public sources can change without notice, and a funder may update, withdraw or close an opportunity after FundingLens has captured it.

AI Outputs

AI summaries, fit reasoning, eligibility caveats and draft notes are generated from supplied profile data and source facts. They may be incomplete or wrong. FundingLens keeps AI inference separate from verified source facts and may require human review before customer-facing alerts or automation are used.

Accounts and Billing

Paid plans are managed through Stripe Checkout and the Stripe Customer Portal. Access to paid features is based on server-side subscription state. If billing fails, is cancelled or cannot be verified, paid-only features may be limited while account access remains available.

During MVP testing we may provide internal test access for review accounts. Internal test access is not a paid subscription, does not create Stripe billing rights and can be changed or removed when production billing is separated into the correct FundingLens Stripe account.

Availability and Changes

FundingLens may change source coverage, ranking logic, AI models, prompts, pricing, limits and product workflows as the service improves. We aim to make changes carefully, but the service may be interrupted for maintenance, source failures, provider outages or security work.

Acceptable Use

Do not use FundingLens to send unlawful outreach, scrape protected systems, misrepresent eligibility, abuse public source websites, overload automation, or store data you are not authorised to process.

Liability

FundingLens is provided to help organise funding research. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for missed funding, failed applications, funder decisions, source changes, user-submitted errors or decisions made without checking the official source.

Governing Law

These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of England and Wales unless a later signed agreement states otherwise.
